My Approach & Values

The foundation of our work is for you to feel truly seen, listened to, acknowledged in your experiences, validated, and my request to join you in your journey towards healing. You are the expert on you. You are- the boss, the captain, the driver of our course. I am your co-pilot. You are not alone, I can assist you, but you are responsible for your own behavior changes. I will celebrate your accomplishments for they are yours not mine. I am not going to take credit for your courage, bravery, dedication, and hard work. I am already proud of you for being courageous enough to look for a therapist.

Inspiration

I am inspired by the quote, “When we are no longer able to change a situation- we are challenged to change ourselves.” by Victor Frankl. I am inspired by my clients every day. I am
inspired by their dedication to their healing. I too am dedicated to my healing, which for me is a lifelong journey. I am inspired by my journey up to this point as I will never ask a client to do anything that I am unwilling to do myself/ haven’t already done myself. I give and receive with an open heart and I request that you do the same. “Until we can receive with an open heart, we are never really giving with an open heart. When we attach judgements to receiving help, we knowingly or unknowingly attach judgements to giving help.” ~Brene Brown
